LOOKING BACK IN TIME GOOD SPIRITS NEWS TALKING ABOUT COMANDON
Back in 2012, Frodelicious reviewed Comandon VS Cognac and published a personal tasting notes for Good Spirits News.
Nose: Very nice honey and spicecake elements.
Taste: Very smooth, but thin with vine fruit immediately noticeable Slight cream, currants, Demerara sugar, cinnamon stick, gingerbread,
Finish: Quite long with spicy and slightly bitter dryness towards the back of the palate. Dessert-like, with a creme brulee overtone.
Comandon Classic cognacs including VS, VSOP and XO are hand made in small batch with no repetition.
Comandon is in the art of cognac, hence, the creation of new cognac, not the repetition. So, this was for this VS cognac made back then.
Small batch is not for everyone.
It takes someone that wants to be surprised and does not want a culinary life made of cookie cutters' taste like things.
